A day of Waiting

I've been in the UK about 4 weeks now (a month on Monday) and I believe my time of unemployed bumness is soon approaching an end. Yes, soon there will be no more daytime television for me. I interviewed on Wednesday, for a great job. They do their last interview today and then we will know. So today is a little stressful with the waiting. Will I have to interview on monday for a different, less fantastic job?

Things have really picked up in this last week. Dave was interviewing on Wednesday and I discovered on Tuesday afternoon, that so was I. So We head into London with armfuls of suits and a huge list of work to do.

We went to the real estate agent and signed for our new appartment. We got a modern 1 bedroom near the river, with plenty of room in the living room for when people come to stay (hint hint). The downside is that we don't move in till the 1st of November. It's weeks away and I want it Now Now Now. But we really need to move to London as the guy we are staying with is moving out and needs some space to pack. So we searched gumtree.com and found someone who wants to rent their room while they holiday in Egypt. That will give us a place to live from the 20th till the 1st. YaY.

So Dave does his interview and I do mine and they are both pretty good. As I mentioned before, I'm waiting but Dave was in demand. He go no less than 5 offers for interviews that day. And a fast interview that afternoon for much better money. So he spends the rest of the afternoon, avoiding the calls from the first job until he can interview for the second. The second ended up being the worst job in the world - that explains the money, making the decision easy and signs the for first and starts work the next day.

So now we will move to London this weekend. We will start being real people again. We don't have to find the rabbit hole and go home, and the adventures in Wonderland can continue.

What is art

Dave and I headed down to london for the weekend to find a flat to live in. The flat is quite cool, a one bedroom in a modern complex. The big downside is that we don't move in till the end of the month. Which is a whole 3 weeks. I like it when things move a little faster. But friends are welcome to stay once we are there.

Anyway we stayed the night in a nice hotel and I admired the hotel room art. We've been in a few hotels over the last few months and I am always amazed at what is hanging on the walls. Now is this Art?

Yes it's got great constrast, lots of things to look at, and you know it's a kitchen. But is it the type of thing you would hang at home?

Through the Rabbit Hole

Welcome to my first post. This most recent trip down the rabbit hole has landed me in a small flat in the UK.
The first thing I did here was go to London and catch up with friends. We did an excellent Jazz cruise down the thames. Great bands good Jazz. Verry chilled.
For my birthday and we went to see We will rock you a london show based on Queen. Excellent, especially after a few wines. I'm a believer.
I made the mistake of visiting the tate modern on a Sunday. It was so busy. It was even too busy to get coffee (and it has 3 cafes. I saw much bizzare art but got tired of the crowds so I only saw a few galleries. Cool though. My current favorite is still the piccasso - some flowers in a bowl but quite neat. Much modern art expands the mind more than the aesthetics. I was very impressed.

Life is good my husband is sexy.
